Can I merge two Behance profiles into one?
Yes. If you have two separate Behance profiles and want everything combined onto one, our support team can merge them for you. This isn't a self-serve setting — contact Behance Support with both profile links and let us know which one you want to keep.
If you only want to change which email/login your existing profile uses — not combine two profiles — you don't need a merge. See Guide: Change Or Update Your Adobe ID instead.
What happens when we merge two profiles?
We move the content from the profile you're giving up into the profile you're keeping. Most things come over automatically, including:
- Projects
- Followers and following
- Moodboards
- Profile sections
- Livestreams
- Freelance services
- Linked source files
What does NOT carry over in a merge
A few things stay behind on the profile that gets merged away, so please check this list before you decide which profile to keep:
- Behance Pro or Recruiter Pro membership, and custom profile display options
- Fan subscribers and your subscriber area
- Inbox messages and comments you left on other people's projects
- Freelance briefs and job listings you posted
- A linked PayPal or Stripe account
- Notification settings and hiring availability
- Profile details on the profile being given up (name, location, About, photo/banner, teams, purchase history, and appreciations you gave to other projects)
If any of these matter to you, let us know when you contact us — in some cases we can help you reset them up on the profile you're keeping, but they won't transfer automatically.
Are there cases we can't merge?
Yes. We can't merge:
- A profile tied to a school or company sign-on account into a personal profile (the organization owns that login type)
- Profiles across two unrelated organizations
- A profile that's currently flagged for a policy violation (we'll need to resolve that first)
If your situation falls into one of these, contact us anyway — we may be able to help in another way even if a full merge isn't possible.
"My projects moved" or "I'm suddenly on a blank profile" — was I merged automatically?
Sometimes, yes. If a work or school account you used for Behance loses access (for example, you left that employer or school), Behance may automatically combine your content onto whichever personal or organization login is connected to that account. You'll get an email titled "Important: Changes to your Behance account" if this happens to you.
If you weren't expecting this change, contact Behance Support with your profile link — we can confirm what moved and help if you can no longer access the destination login (this can happen with old school accounts, for example).
Still not sure which option you need?
