Most sign-in problems can be fixed in a few minutes. Behance uses your Adobe ID to sign you in, so many fixes happen in your Adobe account. Find your situation below.
Find your situation
- You use a school, work, or business login
- You want to sign in with a different email or Adobe ID
- You signed in and your profile is empty
- You forgot your password
- You keep getting signed out, stuck in a loop, or seeing an error
- Behance won't load, or you see a "403" or "blocked" error
- You signed up with Google, Apple, or Facebook
- You can't get into the email on your account
- You lost your phone or can't get a verification code
- Your Adobe ID was disabled or deleted
- You have two Behance profiles
- You think someone else got into your account
- You didn't get a verification email
You use a school, work, or business login
Many schools and companies give you an Adobe login that the organization owns. Your Adobe account can then have more than one profile on the same email, usually a Personal profile and a Business or school profile. Behance signs you in to whichever profile Adobe picks automatically.
To choose the right profile:
- Follow Adobe's steps to turn off Select my profile automatically.
- Sign out of Behance and sign back in.
- When you're asked which profile to use, pick the one with your Behance work.
- You see "You Do Not Have Access To This Product" or "Access Denied." You're signed in with a school or work profile that doesn't include Behance. K-12 school profiles usually have Behance turned off. Use the steps above and choose your Personal profile.
- You land on an empty profile. Your Adobe account may have been added to a business or school account, and your work moved to the business profile. Use the steps above and choose the business profile.
-
You've left the school or job. We can move your Behance profile to a Personal account linked to the same email. Before you ask, keep in mind:
- The move can't be undone.
- Your school or work account must still be active. If it isn't, ask your admin to reactivate it.
- You may need to create a new Adobe account.
- Some organizations don't allow moves. We can't transfer profiles in those cases.
You want to sign in with a different email or Adobe ID
Go to behance.net/account/settings. What you see depends on the kind of Adobe login you're using now:
| If the settings page shows… | Do this |
|---|---|
| Adobe ID Login (most personal accounts) | Select Connect a Different Adobe ID. Enter the other Adobe ID's email and its Adobe password. If that Adobe ID doesn't have a Behance profile, select Confirm and log out. If it already has one, choose Switch Adobe ID and Log Out or Merge and Log Out. See two Behance profiles. |
| Switch Adobe IDs | Select Use a different Adobe ID, then enter the other Adobe ID's email and Adobe password. |
| Use a Different Adobe Profile (you're signed in with a Business or Education profile) | Select Use your Personal Profile. This moves your Behance profile to the Personal profile on the same email. That Personal profile must already exist. |
| None of these | Your login is owned by a school or company, so you can't switch it yourself. See school, work, or business. |
Before you start:
- The other Adobe ID must already exist. If it doesn't, go to account.adobe.com and select Create an account.
- You'll need that Adobe ID's password. If you only sign in to it with Google, Apple, or Facebook, add a password to it at account.adobe.com first.
- Your projects, followers, and settings stay with your profile. You'll be signed out, then you sign in with the new Adobe ID.
- To change the email on your current Adobe ID instead, select Manage This Adobe ID, or go to account.adobe.com.
If you see an error:
- "Your email or password does not match": enter the other Adobe ID's password, not your Behance or Google password.
- "Please use a different Adobe ID": you entered the Adobe ID you're already signed in with.
- "Profile merges are not supported for Enterprise accounts" or "A Personal Profile with the same email does not exist": contact us with your profile link.
- "Too many requests": wait a few minutes, then try again.
Full steps: Change or update your Adobe ID.
You signed in and your profile is empty
You most likely signed in with a different Adobe ID, or a different profile on the same Adobe ID. Your work is still on your original profile.
- Sign out, then sign in the way you originally signed up: email, Google, Apple, or Facebook.
- Check the exact email. Punctuation matters:
jane.doe@andjanedoe@are different Adobe IDs. - If you use a school or work login, see school, work, or business above.
- Still empty? Contact us with your original profile link. If you now have two profiles, we can merge them.
You forgot your password
Behance uses your Adobe password. Reset it with Adobe's password reset, then sign in to Behance again. Behance Support can't reset passwords for you.
If you signed up with Google, Apple, or Facebook, you don't have a separate Adobe password. Sign in with that service instead.
You keep getting signed out, stuck in a loop, or seeing an error
- Try a private or incognito window. If that works, clear your cookies and cache for behance.net and adobe.com.
- Allow cookies for
[*.]adobe.com. Behance sign-in doesn't work when the browser blocks Adobe's cookies. - Turn off ad blockers, privacy extensions, and VPNs for Behance, then try again.
- Update your browser and operating system, or try another browser or device.
If the error continues, contact us with a screenshot of the error, your browser, and your device.
Behance won't load, or you see a "403" or "blocked" error
Your network or IP address may be blocked, either by Behance or by Adobe's sign-in system. To help us find out which:
- Turn off any VPN, and try another network if you can, such as mobile data instead of school or work Wi-Fi.
- Check whether you can sign in at adobe.com.
- Find your IP address at whatismyipaddress.com and copy the IPv4 address.
Contact us with your IP address, whether you can open behance.net, and whether you can sign in to Behance, adobe.com, or both.
You signed up with Google, Apple, or Facebook
Sign in the same way every time. Select the same service on the sign-in page, and use the same account you signed up with.
-
Apple "Hide My Email": your Adobe ID is a private relay address ending in
@privaterelay.appleid.com. Always use Continue with Apple. - Removed or lost the Google, Apple, or Facebook account? Switch to a different Adobe ID while you can still sign in. If you already can't sign in, see you can't get into the email on your account.
You can't get into the email on your account
We can't give you access to an account unless you can sign in to the email or phone number it uses. For your security, we also can't reveal the email address on a profile or reset passwords. There are three ways forward:
- Recover your Adobe account. Use Adobe account recovery to find which email your account uses and reset your password.
- Recover your email account. Contact your email provider. Most have a "Forgot password?" or "Trouble signing in?" link. Behance can't help recover email accounts.
- Switch to a different Adobe account. Once you can sign in, move your Behance profile to an email you control.
If none of these work, we can hide the old profile from public view and from search engines. We won't delete it. Visitors to its URL will see a "404 Not Found" page, and search engines may keep showing it for a few weeks while their results update. To ask for this, contact us with:
- Your profile URL (for example, behance.net/username)
- The full name on the account
- The last email address you remember using
- About when you last signed in
- A note confirming you understand the profile will be hidden, not deleted
You lost your phone or can't get a verification code
On the code screen, select Use another method, then choose your email or the Adobe Account Access app.
If you also forgot your password, Adobe needs you to have access to at least two of these: the email on the account, the phone number on the account, or the Adobe Account Access app. See Can't sign in to your Adobe account.
Behance Support can't change the phone number on an Adobe account or turn off two-step verification. This protects your account. If you can't recover it, create a new Adobe account and start a new profile. We can hide the old profile so it isn't confused with your new one.
Your Adobe ID was disabled or deleted
Disabled: we can connect your Behance profile to a different Adobe ID. Contact us with your profile link and the email of the Adobe ID you'd like to use. If that email isn't an Adobe account yet, create one first. We'll ask you to confirm a few details for security.
Deleted: we can't restore a deleted account. When an Adobe account is deleted, its records are removed too, including from our support tools. Accounts are usually deleted because:
- The owner asked to delete it.
- A free account was inactive for a long time. Adobe emails a notice before closing it.
- The account didn't meet Adobe's minimum age requirement.
- The account broke Adobe's General Terms of Use.
Check any other email addresses you may have used with Adobe account recovery. Otherwise, create a new Adobe account and sign in to Behance to start a new profile. For questions about personal information Adobe may still hold, use Adobe's privacy request form.
You have two Behance profiles
If both profiles use personal Adobe IDs, you can merge them yourself. Sign in to the profile you're giving up, because the merge moves everything from it into the other profile.
- Sign in with the Adobe ID of the profile you want to give up.
- Go to behance.net/account/settings and select Connect a Different Adobe ID.
- Enter the email and Adobe password of the profile you want to keep.
- Select Merge and Log Out, then sign in with the Adobe ID of the profile you're keeping.
Before you merge:
- A merge can't be undone, whether you do it yourself or we do it. Double-check which profile you're keeping.
- School or work (Enterprise) logins can't merge themselves. Business or Education profiles use Use your Personal Profile, then Merge Behance Data.
- If you only see Switch Adobe ID and Log Out or Confirm and log out, merging isn't available. Don't continue; contact us instead.
- The profile you give up isn't deleted. It stays on its own Adobe ID without the content that moved.
- Some things don't move, such as Behance Pro, inbox messages, and PayPal or Stripe. Check the list in Merging two Behance profiles.
Prefer that we do it? Contact us with both profile links, and tell us which one to keep.
If you only want to change which email you sign in with, you don't need a merge. See sign in with a different email or Adobe ID.
You think someone else got into your account
- Reset your Adobe password right away with Adobe's password reset.
- Turn on two-step verification at account.adobe.com.
- Contact us with your profile link and anything that changed. We'll check the profile for activity you didn't make.
You didn't get a verification email
You need a verified email to upload projects and send messages. Go to account.adobe.com and select resend verification email. Check your spam folder. If it still doesn't arrive, see Didn't receive an email from Adobe.
Still stuck?
Contact us and include:
- A link to your Behance profile, if you know it (for example, behance.net/username)
- The email you tried to sign in with
- A screenshot of any error
We'll never ask for your password. For your security, we can't reset passwords, show the email on a profile, change two-step verification settings, or restore deleted accounts.
