What Are Mentions?

Mentions are a great way of starting a conversation by responding to or calling attention to someone directly in a comment. Project owners can direct answers or other comments to users who have taken time to leave feedback. 

Mentioning In A Comment

To mention someone in a comment, type @ then begin letters of their username. For example, if you wanted to mention John Doe, write @JohnDoe. 

* Note: You do not need to be following someone to @ mention them in a comment.

Being Mentioned In A Comment

When someone mentions you in a comment, you’ll see a notification on Behance and via email (if you have email notifications turned on) that says who mentioned you and links to the project.  

* Note: To change your notification settings for mentions, visit Account Settings (http://www.behance.net/account/notifications) while logged into Behance.
